The three main gateway towns in Sardinia are:

CAGLIARI Located on the south coast, this is the island’s capital and main port. Of Phoenician and Roman origin, it has a picturesque Old Town, medieval fortifications and many fashionable shops.

ALGHERO Situated on the northwest coast, and settled by the Catalans in the 14th century, its colourful and distinctive flavour is best enjoyed in the small streets and lanes of its historic old quarter.

OLBIA Located on the northeast coast, it is the gateway to the most sophisticated tourist resort of them all, the Costa Smeralda.

Scheduled Flights
If you are unable, for whatever reason, to use our direct flights to Sardinia, we can arrange travel on scheduled flights to Olbia or Cagliari, either in Economy or Club Class. (Please note that Club Class is NOT available on internal flights). Please ask our reservations staff for full details and supplements.

Hotels, Residences, Villas/Apartments Categories
Hotel Categories: We are obliged to print the official category awarded to the hotels by the Italian State Tourist Office. The awards are based on certain facilities or services being available and they do not take into account the size of the bedrooms or public rooms, nor the preferred decor of the owner, which may be at odds with your taste. Hotels in the same category, even in the same resort, can vary considerably in their character, ambience, service and facilities and may not offer the same staffing levels and facilities or be as well maintained. It must be borne in mind that cost is a good indication of standards, particularly when comparing hotels of the same star rating.

Self-catering categories: For residences, we also use the official categories awarded by the Italian State Tourist Office. Where an apartment or villa does not have an official classification, it is important to read the property description carefully, before making your decision.

Sardatur Crown rating: To complement the official rating, we have created our own “Crown” grading system, which is displayed against the name of each property. The Crown rating reflects our own personal taste, taking into consideration value for money, location, ambience, service and facilities provided. In addition, our Luxury Collection features hotels, which we believe offer the utmost in levels of service, quality and sophistication, whilst our Charm Collection incorporates Charming, Boutique or Design properties, offering a more personal service, combined with a unique or contemporary sense of style. Child Reductions
Infants under 2: Provided that no aircraft seat is occupied, you pay £35.00 on charter flights, or £70.00 on scheduled flights. Accommodation costs are as shown in the price panel of your chosen property.

Children aged 2 to 11: If sharing a room with two full-fare-paying passengers, children are entitled to 20% reduction on the relevant holiday price. At the Forte Village Resort and other selected hotels, special child reductions may apply - please see the relevant price panel.

Special reduction
Free child accommodation:
The child will be charged the holiday price less as many nights hotel accommodation included in the price using the extra night prices applicable.

e.g. at the Le Meridien Chia Laguna, Classic Cottage, departing on 10 May 08 for 7 nights, the cost will be £735 less (£62 x 7) = £301.00

50% child accommodation reduction:
The child will be charged the holiday price less 50% as many nights hotel accommodation included in the price using the extra night price applicable.

e.g. at Le Meridien Chia Laguna, Classic Cottage, departing 14 June 08 for 7 nights, the cost will be £982 less 50% of (£97 x 7) = £642.50

Self-catering:
£30.00 for each child under 12 years old sharing with two full-fare-paying passengers, irrespective of length of stay.

Tailor Made/Bespoke Holidays
Make use of our unrivalled specialist knowledge to tailor a holiday to your exact requirements. We will discuss your ideas, make recommendations regarding accommodation and produce a detailed itinerary for you. Bespoke does not mean expensive - we will use special contract rates for flights, hotels and car hire. Many hotels and villas (and some self-catering apartments) are available from the 1st week of April.
