PIAZZA MARIA LUIGIA

This Square is the heart of the Resort, especially in the evening, when guests can meet to watch or participate in the entertainment provided on the stage.  The newly renovated arcade of shops stays open until late evening and includes a perfumery, jeweller, hairdresser tobacconist and news stand.  Numerous boutiques offer both designer and sports wear by a wide range of international brands such as Cartier, Zegna, Mont Blanc, La Perla, Cavalli, Gucci, Bulgari and Fendi, whilst Petit Bateau cater for the children. This is the ideal place to meet after dinner, for a chat, a walk or just to have a drink with friends.

SPORTS & LEISURE FACILITIES
    
For the sports enthusiast, the Resort is an ideal location, with many sports catered for directly within the complex, or available in the immediate vicinity.
Free of charge: 2 concrete tennis courts, with floodlights for evening games, five-a-side and full-sized football pitches, ping-pong, basketball and volleyball.  There is also a daily sports programme, including aerobics. The use of beach chairs, sunshades and parasols is also free.
Available at local cost: Thalasso Del Forte massage centre including shiatzu, algae baths and mud treatment, sauna and Turkish bath, and a fully equipped Techno-gym and Pilates.  Water-sports lovers can indulge in sailing, diving, water skiing, wind surfing and paddleboats.

Also available at the Resort are bicycles, 10-pin bowling, a putting green, 1 synthetic grass, 1 natural grass and 6 clay tennis courts, a go-kart track, as well as qualified instructors and lessons for various sports.  Nearby, there is a horse-riding centre providing lessons and, for the more experienced, trekking, and the 27-hole Is Molas Golf Course.

FORTE VILLAGE TENNIS ACADEMY:

For those interested in improving their game, the Tennis Academy is a must.  Tennis stars such as Australian Open finalist Thomas Enqvist, will be on hand to give private coaching lessons.  Open to both adults and children.


CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB:

Youngsters from 4 – 14 can learn to play football with top trainers from Chelsea Football  Club.  From the last week in May until the end of August, the Forte Village hosts the ‘Chelsea Soccer Football Academy’.  
The weekly courses will give youngsters the opportunity to learn new footballing skills and to improve their game.  At the end of each week, a mini tournament is held and everyone gets the chance to show off their new skills.

FORTE VILLAGE WENTWORTH GOLF ACADEMY:

Exclusive to Forte Village and run by Wentworth Club PGA professionals, the Wentworth Golf Academy offers guests of all ages a unique opportunity to swing a club for the first time or to perfect their technique  Coaching takes place on both the driving range and synthetic surface short game area.  The Flightscope tracking radar enables guests to measure and see swing, club and ball data on their own smartphone or tablet with no PC required.  After training, take the next step by practising at the nearby Is Molas Golf Club, just a few minute’s drive away.          

FORTE VILLAGE RUGBY ACADEMY:

In addition to the very popular Chelsea Soccer School 2012 will also include the Forte Village Rugby Accademy, launched in 2011.  The rugby school is for boys and girls between the age of 5 and 16. The training provided by some of the British icons of the sport:  William John Heaton Greenwood, Austin Sean Healey and James John Hamilton-Smith.

SWIMMING POOLS
Oasis:  Two freshwater pools, one with a diving board and another shallow pool for children, are located in the centre of the Village, with two more located at the Mini-Club.
Baia delle Palme:  Two charming, salt-water pools and 250 metre slides are set amongst palms and other exotic vegetation.
Hotels Castello, Villa del Parco and Le Dune, Royal Pineta and Suites: The two freshwater, heated pools near the Hotel Castello are reserved exclusively for clients staying at these hotels. A beach towel service is provided at reception, by the pool and the beach

THALASSO DEL FORTE

Perhaps one of the most advanced Thalasso & Spa centres in Europe, the Thalasso del Forte is set in an exclusive oasis, surrounded by a lush tropical garden.  Guests may avail themselves of the Thalassotherapy spa, consisting of 6 seawater pools (some heated) enriched with minerals.  Guests may also use the large gymnasium, equipped with latest state-of-the-art Techno-gym machines,  Pilates, sauna and Turkish bath, with highly qualified professional masseurs.  A team of specialists (including Dr. Mosaraf Ali, specialist in ayurvedic medicine) can, if required, and after an examination in the medical centre, formulate a personalised programme just for you.  The Thalasso del Forte has its own beauty centre, and beauty salon, as well as its own bar, serving fresh juices and herbal teas. A day pass for the Centre costs about €90.  The pass does not cover the treatments available

RESTAURANTS & BARS
    
The Resort is justly renowned for the variety and number of restaurants on offer. Depending on the type of accommodation booked, you will have restaurants designated for each meal.  For breakfast tyou may dine at your designated restaurant or at an alternative restaurant (by prior reservation, some with supplement).  For dinner, you may dine at your designated restaurant without prior reservation, or you can choose to dine at other restaurants, most of which require only a prior reservation, although a few require reservation and the payment of a supplement.  All drinks are payable locally.
For lunch you may choose between excellent pizzas, cooked in a wood-burning oven at the Pizzeria, tasty snacks at the Beachcomber, Rocce or Oasis, or a variety of pasta dishes at the Pasta House.  The Resort also features a number of bars, which stay open until late at night; the Gelateria next to the Lungomare bar, serves its own delicious ice cream and pastries.  In the evenings you may choose to spend your time either in the  Piazza Discotheque or the Piano Bar. 
During high season, a variety of specialist restaurants are also available.  Please note however that these open and close at the Management's discretion; prior reservation is required and all drinks are payable locally.
Oasis: Breakfast at the Oasis is a generous self-service buffet, taken on the terraces by the swimming pools.
Pineta/Colosseo: These are highly enjoyable restaurants. The Pineta is a delightful open-air restaurant, but in the unlikely event of  rain, dining takes place in the Colosseo, which is covered.   Both offer a vast buffet and a variety of hot and cold dishes, roasts and Sardinian specialities. (Mineral water is included).
Forte Grill (Steak House):  Romantically lit at night by the lights of the Oasis pool, it offers tasty grilled meats and a wide selection of salads.
Bellavista:  Situated by the beach with splendid views of the sea, this table d'hote restaurant offers a superb variety of food delicacies.
Cavalieri:  Elegant buffet-style dining, usually "al fresco" under a wonderfully lit canopy of pines, accompanied by a small orchestra.
Belvedere: Award-winning, elegant roof top restaurant, renowned for its "a la carte” menu, fine choice of wines and service.
Le Dune:  This award-winning restaurant, located on the beach overlooking the sea, offers a rich and varied "a la carte" menu.  Situated in a romantic setting, it is the ideal place for a refined, special, candlelit dinner.
Note: a) Mineral water is included only at the Pineta and Colosseo restaurants.
Ristorante Gordon Ramsay: Renowned throughout Europe, Gordon Ramsay is one of the most creative & original chefs to have emerged in recent years.  His exclusive restaurant at the resort offers surprising and spectacular menus.
Ristorante Forte Gourmet: Overlooking the Oasis pool, Forte Gourmet Restaurant is directed by Michelin-starred chef Rocco Iannone.  A wonderful place to rediscover the finest traditional Italian cuisine.
Ristorante La Locanda, Michelin-star rated and directed by Giancarlo Perbellin.
b) All restaurants are open at the management's discretion and designated restaurants may change.
c) The children's restaurant opens daily from 1200 to 1300 and from 1800 to 1900 hours.
All facilities are subject to weather conditions and may be limited in early and late season.  Forte Village Resort is continually developing and evolving and some changes may occur and vary between seasons. Forte Village Resort is also used for conventions and conferences in low and mid season.

What to wear. Casual, informal wear is recommended during the day.  In the evenings you may wish to dress more formally (shorts and bermudas are not permitted in the restaurants at dinner). During spring and autumn evenings can be cool, so warmer garments are advisable.

CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES    

The entire Resort is a children's paradise, a stimulating world waiting to be discovered. Parents can leave their children at Kid’s City, where they can play and make new friends, under the watchful eye of adult supervisors.  Also available are an electronic games-room and a restaurant, offering lunch and dinner specially designed for them.
A Day Nursery is available for infants under 2, at a charge of approximately €15 per hour, payable locally. Baby sitting is approximately €15 per hour, payable locally (maximum 2 children).
• Mini Club: for children aged 2 to 11 years. Supervised activities and adventure playground.
• Junior Club: for youngsters aged 12 to 17 years. Offers a daily sports programme.

KID'S CITY
    
Much more then a kid’s club where kids can play at growing up.

With fantastic workshops where kids can model clay, cook pizza, play an instrument, dance, learn Italian and even create their own work of art on a canvas with artists from ArtEvent.

The City has 2 private pools and dedicated children’s restaurant.
Extended child-minding service is available also outside normal opening hours
