Built by the celebrated architect and designer, Lawrence Bellini, Golf Hotel Is Arenas sits surrounded by 750 hectares of pine forest, beside the gently rolling sand dunes of Is Arenas Beach, on the West Coast of Sardinia. This elegant, five-star design hotel, is a celebration of refined, contemporary chic, with its free flowing lines and innovative use of chrome.
 The 62 guestrooms are beautifully furnished in contemporary style, with pale wooden furniture, and white walls, accentuated with rich blues, reds and purples.  All have balcony or patio, Internet connection and satellite TV.
A rich buffet breakfast is served in the Steed Restaurant, with its spacious verandah, overlooking the pinewoods. In the evenings, guests can savour refined Mediterranean cuisine, as well as traditional Sardinian dishes, with an a la carte option.  Lunch can also be taken here, or at the Beach Club, which offers tasty barbecues.  Light snacks and cocktails are also served in the Lounge Bar, where piano music can be enjoyed in the evenings.
The hotel has a swimming pool with integrated whirlpool.  Showers, sun-beds, parasols and a bar service are also at the guests’ disposal. The Is Arenas beach is 400 meters from the hotel; a beautiful, 6km stretch of coastline, with a private bathing area, beach bar, sun-beds, parasols, beach towels (seasonal) and showers. Water-sports including the rental of kayaks and surfboards can be arranged by the hotel, together with lessons for beginners. Also available are bikes and horse riding.  Visits to local historical sites are also organised.  The town of Oristano is a 20min drive away.
Is Arenas Golf Club, located nearby, has been named by Destination Magazine as one of the top 10 golf courses in Europe. Designed by Robert Von Hagge, this 18-hole par 72 course is considered to be one of the most beautiful, in terms of architectural design and landscape. Hotel guests can avail themselves to exclusive priority teeing off time, golf cart hire and caddy service.  For beginners, the Golf Academy offers personalised courses and lessons, a large practice course with 40 stations, short game facilities, pitch and chip greens with bunkers, and two putting greens.  There is an also an Executive 3-hole, par 9 course.   Sets of clubs and electric trolleys are available for hire, and guests can even have their training recorded, enabling them to analysis their progress at home.
